Skin Conditions - Our Treatments

At MagnifaSkin MedSpa we can treat acne itself, reducing the frequency and severity of acne. Acne is the result of blocked pores by excessive output from the sebaceous glands. The oils from these glands mix with tiny dirt particles in our pores and cause blockage. The body sees this as an infection and responds by sending white blood cells to the area. The result is a pimple as the pore fills with pus which is the body’s way of trying to ‘force’ the infection out.

PSORIASIS

Psoriasis, the unsightly and uncomfortable itchy patches of raised, red and scaly skin is largely genetic. If you’re unlucky enough to be among the 7.5 million people in the U.S. affected by this condition, and find that the usual steroid creams either don’t work for you, or produce unwanted side effects, you don’t need to suffer any longer. At MagnifaSkin MedSpa , we can help.

SPIDER VEINS

Small red, purple or blue blood vessels that twist and turn, and are visible through the skin, most frequently on the face and legs, spider veins are not to be confused with varicose veins, which are much larger and are raised above the level of the surrounding tissues.

VARICOSE VEINS

Varicose veins are enlarged veins which appear in the legs, and can affect both women and men at any age. They are the result of malfunctioning valves in the veins themselves, which causes blood to pool in the vein, resulting in their swollen appearance. While large varicose veins will require sclerotherapy, we can make smaller varicose veins disappear with Non-Ablative laser therapy.

SCLEROTHERAPY

While sclerotherapy does involve some discomfort, most patients report the procedure as being less painful than they anticipated and the vast majority feel that the dramatic results are worth it. Your varicose veins won’t just be diminished or reduced – they will literally disappear!

NAIL FUNGUS

Nail fungus infections are extremely common, affecting up to 20% of adults. Characterized by yellow, brown or white discoloration of the nails, brittleness and/or crumbling and thickening of the nail, these infections were, up until laser treatments, very difficult to get rid of due to the fact that the infection was ‘sealed’ under the nail.
