A tear trough is the area between your lower eyelid and upper cheek. With time, this area can become more obvious, growing deeper or casting a shadow underneath your eyes which can make you appear older or tired. While tear troughs can be inherited traits, the normal volume loss of facial tissue can add to the deepening of tear troughs. Stress, sun exposure and other
lifestyle factors can also contribute to tear trough issues.

A tear trough filler is a treatment that can reduce the depth of a tear trough and cause the skin in that area look fuller and firmer, an injectable treatment that can add volume to the area. A dermal filler can be injected into the problem area that gives a natural fullness to the under-eye area. The results can look quite natural, with little to no downtime needed after treatment.

Treatment up to one or two years.

Hyaluronic Acid: The Magic Behind Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid. Sounds scary? Not really. Hyaluronic acid is just the fancy medical term for a sugar compound that occurs naturally in our bodies, and which is responsible for maintaining
facial fullness and elasticity in our skin by binding to water like a sponge, absorbing up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Over time though, as we age, our bodies produce less of this important compound. Juvederm can help restore youthful levels of hyaluronic acid.
