RESTYLANE

Smoother, More Natural Feel

Effect Duration: 3 to 6 months

Restylane treatments look so natural only you will know, but you’ll look better (and feel better about your appearance!) right away. Restylane treatments last 3 to 6 months, or between 3 and 4 months for lips. This is due to the fact that we use our lips more than our other face muscles, which causes our body to flush out the Restylane faster from this area.

JUVEDERM LYFT

Longer Lasting

Effect Duration: up to 12 months

As we age, our skin loses volume as underlying muscle tissue atrophies and the natural volume enhancing compounds in our skin, such as hyaluronic acid, decrease in concentration. This can result in sunken cheeks and deep wrinkles in the areas where our face has natural fold lines, such as the nasolabial folds (from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth) and marionette lines (from the corners of our mouths to our chins).

RESTYLANE REFYNE

Smoother, More Natural Feel

Effect Duration: up to 12 months

Refyne is an excellent filler for deeper wrinkles and folds, while at the same time having unparalleled flexibility, mimicking the movement of our own tissues so well as to look and react in a way that is indistinguishable from our own skin’s natural fillers. Most often used on marionette lines and nasolabial folds, Refyne can be used to effectively fill any moderate to deep wrinkles.

RESTYLANE DEFYNE

Longer Lasting

Effect Duration: up to 12 months

Defyne offers exceptional flexibility and support, and imitates the actions of young, healthy skin and underlying tissue, making it an excellent treatment option for areas of the face which experience a lot of movement. As your face moves and you make expressions, even the most extreme of smiles or frowns, Defyne will spring back into shape in the same way as your natural tissues.

HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS - WHICH IS BEST FOR YOU?

Both the Restylane and Juvederm family of products use hyaluronic acid as the active ingredient however there are some differences. Each compound contains different amounts of hyaluronic acid, and the gels they are mixed with come in differing concentrations and levels of firmness and elasticity.

Please use the following guide to determine which treatment may be best for your needs. Our clinicians will also make recommendations at your free consultation.

THE JUVEDERM FAMILY

Best for deep wrinkles and adding volume

Juvederm is smoother than Restylane, but this doesn’t mean better. While the smoother consistency of Juvederm means that it is less likely to leave small bumps after treatment (these will fade and smooth out in time) this also means that Juvederm is more likely to ‘bleed’ in to areas around the treatment area, with undesirable results. Juvederm is, for instance, ideal for filling lines and wrinkles, but if used in the hollows under the eyes can easily travel to the top of the cheeks, creating an undesirable puffiness. For this application, Restylane would be the better choice.

THE RESTYLANE FAMILY

Best for fine lines, moderate folds and lips

Hyaluronic acid is the active ingredient in Restylane and the Restylane family of injectable gel fillers which restore a more natural, youthful appearance by smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing skin, and even subtly enhancing lips and cheeks by replacing the lost hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in our bodies.

Restylane treatments look so natural only you will know, but you’ll look better (and feel better about your appearance!) right away. Restylane treatments last 3 to 6 months, between 3 and 4 months for lips, and up to 12 months for Defyne and Refyne.
