Fillers & Relaxers

We all care about our body, but most of us don’t need to display it very often. Our faces, however, are another story. It’s no mystery that 99% of cosmetics are for the face. But as we age it reaches a point where cosmetics may not be enough. It’s natural to develop wrinkles, lines, and sunken areas, and not so long ago the only solution was a facelift. We’re not dissing plastic surgery – in fact, we believe you should do whatever makes you feel better about yourself. There’s no doubt though that surgery is expensive and risky.

Fortunately, everything that a facelift can do for you can now be done with fillers and relaxers, so it’s no wonder that these are among the most popular beauty treatments today. They’re much cheaper, the risk is extremely minimal, and in some cases, if you don’t like the effect it can be reversed. The Restylane Family of Facial Fillers

Also FDA approved in 2006, Restylane is a competing brand to Juvederm. We offer both here at Magnifaskin. One is not better than the other. Your face and body chemistry is unique. We may recommend Restylane for one treatment area, and Juvederm for another. The Restylane family includes Lyft, Refyne, Defyne, and Silk. Revanesse Versa

Only approved for use in the U.S. in 2017, Revanesse is becoming increasingly popular for its more natural look and feel. Versa has a unique cross-linked hyaluronic acid formulation. The particles are smoother and rounder. Among other advantages, we can more easily shape the filled area with Revanesse.

Wrinkle Erasure:

The very first injectable treatment to hit the U.S. market, Botox was FDA approved in 2002. Since then, it has only increased in popularity. Currently, there are over 6 million Botox treatments administered every year! We do Botox and other fillers for men too.

In addition to Botox we also now offer Jeuveau, which is more commonly known as Newtox. Identical to Botox in formula and application, Newtox is cheaper for us to purchase, and we pass those savings on to you.

We also offer Dysport, which is specifically for glabellar lines, or frown lines. These lines between our brows can give us a permanently angry or worried expression.

All of our relaxers work in the same way, by blocking the chemoreceptors to the muscles in that area, they prevent the muscles from contracting. It’s these contractions that cause the wrinkles to form. Over time, they can become permanent as collagen and elastin in the folds gets broken down. The earlier you start relaxer treatments, the fewer lines will form as you age.

Fat Reduction

We all know that obesity rates continue to rise, and even if we’re at a healthy weight, most of us have some unwanted fat. Be it on your face or your body, we can help.

Kybella, approved in 2015, was originally intended to reduce chin fat, although as we’ll see in a moment it can be used effectively on other areas of the body. No one wants to walk around with a neck wattle like a pillowcase. Even if the rest of your face is trim and toned, you may be genetically predisposed to carrying fat on your chin. Successive treatments of Kybella destroy the fat cells allowing us to reshape your under-chin area.

Added to a mesotherapy contouring treatment, we can even reduce fat on other areas of your body such as belly and thighs. Spot reduction of fat through exercise is not possible, despite what late-night TV ads want you to believe. But with a mesotherapy contouring treatment, we can get rid of those last stubborn fat deposits that just won’t go away no matter how hard you try.

Just as with our other treatments, Kybella and mesotherapy are also available for men.

Contouring

Among popular beauty treatments, contouring is unique in that it has the power to actually change the shape of your face. Even minor adjustments to the shape of our nose or chin, or filling in sunken cheeks and temples, can make a dramatic difference to our appearance.

PRP, Laser & IPL Skin Rejuvenation

Why make your skin just look younger, when it can actually be younger? We know, it sounds like science fiction or at least a cheesy sales pitch, but the skin rejuvenation options we offer here at Magnifaskin can actually make your skin younger!

As our skin ages, we lose the essential connective proteins collagen and elastin. These two together make our skin both firm and stretchy. It’s the loss of collagen that produces permanent lines and wrinkles, and less elastin leads to a loss of firmness.

Both Non-Ablative Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) work by intentionally damaging the underlying dermis layer of our skin, where the collagen and elastin do their work. This forces your skin to repair itself, and produce more of these proteins. In a very real way, this turns back the clock on our skin, actually making it younger.

PRP, or Platelet Rich Plasma, works differently. A PRP treatment starts by extracting a small amount of your own blood. This is spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets, tiny cells that help heal our skin when it gets damaged. We then reinject the Platelet Rich Plasma to the treatment area, where all those platelets go to work. They produce fibrin and essential growth factors. Peels

RF Microneedling

Another popular beauty treatment for turning back the clock on our skin is microneedling. Both traditional microneedling, and our new, more effective RF microneedling treatments, work in the same way as laser and IPL skin rejuvenation; by prompting our skin to heal itself and produce more of the essential binding proteins.

Great for skin of any age, an RF microneedling treatment increases the effectiveness by releasing tiny pulses of radio waves under the skin. This causes the tissues to heat slightly by the same mechanism your microwave uses to heat food. Don’t worry, though. The wavelengths are completely safe and most clients feel only a slight warming effect.

By adding this burst of radio waves to the tiny microneedling punctures, the area of healing under the skin widens. The overlap between each puncture creates a lattice effect that generates a whole new layer of dermal tissue, resulting in smoother, firmer skin.

Both lash lifts and extensions last as long as your natural lashes do. For most of us, that’s two to three months.

Teeth Whitening

How white our teeth are wasn’t really something most people thought about in previous generations. In fact, until relatively recently the very concept of teeth as a popular beauty treatment was a foreign concept for most people. This is likely because, until modern orthodontics, teeth were seen as one of those things you couldn’t change. Once this option became available, people desired teeth that were straight, and that was enough. But we humans keep raising the bar. Today, we notice people with super-white teeth, and there’s no denying a bright smile can make anyone more attractive.

Home whitening treatments contain the same whitening agent we use but at a lower concentration. Our Sapphire Teeth Whitening treatment requires application by medically trained personnel. This is because, if left on for too long, it could actually damage your teeth. It’s this extra strength, though, that makes a pro treatment more effective. In addition, we use UV light to speed the breakdown of the hydrogen peroxide. This means brighter, whiter teeth than any home treatment can offer, as well as longer-lasting results.
